A Long History

The church has been around for a very long time and in that time, many vicars have come and gone as have the team who supported them. Being 'the boss', we thought best to remember the past vicars along with all of our current staff.

Adam Friend

Vicar

For some their 'theology' degree may be what prepared them for ministry, for me it was my first degree in 'performing arts'. Being Ordained in 2002, and working and living in Northwich and Winsford, before moving to Tarvin in 2010 with Helen, my wife and Henry our eldest son. Freddie has been born since being in Tarvin, a place we enjoy living and call home. I have a passion for being the parish priest of the villages of Tarvin and Duddon, where our two churches are based.

Reader

I am a retired Primary School teacher. I trained as a Reader and was licensed to my home Parish in 2002 but had already felt the crazy, loving, generous Spirit of God calling me to Ordination. This, due to the circumstances of life, took longer to achieve but was completed in June 2014. I served some of my curacy in St. James' Christleton and then moved to St. Andrew's in 2016. I am part time and self supporting. I live in Guilden Sutton with my dog Smudge, and in between my church activities, we have long walks together. I also enjoy my family, crafts and creative work, the theatre and the arts and my garden.
